The
rainforest canopy remains undisturbed at Crocodylus. The comfortable accommodation huts are built up off the
ground and spaced out amongst the dense tropical rainforest.
From the comfort of your hut you can feel part of the
rainforest, listening to and watching the wildlife of the forest.
Unified
by the desire to stay for a while in this unparalleled natural
environment, people from all walks of life are attracted to
Crocodylus. Children
are welcome and the atmosphere is friendly and casual. A giant strangler fig tree provides a dramatic centrepiece
to the village.

Our
Jungle Restaurant serves fabulous large home style meals. Start the day with a cooked breakfast, muesli or one of our
special pancakes. There is an extensive healthy menu for lunch
and our dinner
menu varies daily with always has a special choice for vegetarians.
There
is a small well stocked bar and a landscaped swimming pool with a
sunbaking area in close proximity to the central living area where
you will find a very comfortable lounge area, pool table and dart boards.
We also have internet facilities
for those needing to access their email or wanting to access the
web during their stay.
Being
in an isolated area Crocodylus generates its own electricity and
provides guests with facilities for longer stays:- a coin operated
laundry, a well equipped self catering kitchen, a coin pay
telephone and a small general store.

On
arrival, guests are given an orientation talk and provided with
maps and directions of the local area. There are swimming holes and many places of interest within
walking distance of Crocodylus.
There
are miles of isolated beaches where one can simply unwind where
the rainforest meets the sand and the reef.
Additional
activities available from Crocodylus include horse riding,
exclusive sea
kayaking
camping tours to Snapper Island National Park, night walks, morning and afternoon walks, reef trips, crocodile cruise, Jungle Surfing, Fruit Tasting, Paddle Trekking, Fishing, Bird Watching, Bike Riding, Visit The art Gallery, The discovery Centre and the Ice Cream Co.
All
offer a different means of discovering and enjoying the rainforest,
tropical coast and coral reefs. These activities are all run by local owner/operators
ensuring quality and a personal touch. See our Tours
and Activities page for more
information and photos. Or visit our wildlife
sightings page to see the types of animals spotted on
